Svitolina hints at return during 2023 clay court season during Instagram Q&A

Elina Svitolina will be making her return this year and she hinted during a Q and A session that it might happen fairly soon, sometime during the clay season.

Svitolina took time away from tennis after becoming pregnant and now a mother of a baby daughter, Svitolina is ramping up practice time in order to make a return. Monfils and Svitolina are enjoying being parents very much but both like to play tennis and will be making a comeback sooner rather than later.

She responded to a few fan questions, and one of those asked whether she enjoyed being a mother and she responded positively:

“Enjoying veryyy much."

Asked when she'll return to tennis she simply wrote soon with a picture of a clay court:

“Soon."

Earlier in the year, Svitolina targeted the summer as a return date:

"I will try to be ready for the summer, but I try not to rush things. Because I know I need to be very strong to be back on tour because right now, tennis is very physical."
