Iga Swiatek opened slowly against Tsurenko at the Rome Open but she battled back quickly to take the match in two simple sets 6-2 6-0 moving on comfortably.
Swiatek was able to turn things around rather quickly despite a slow start that saw Tsurenko taking the first two games of the match. Yes, it was 0-2 initially but that started an incredible run which saw her win 12 games in a row. That's basically the same thing she did in the previous round when she won 6-0 6-0.
She went 6-0 6-0 against Tsurenko as well after losing the first two. There is not much to say about this match because it was one-sided and very dominant by the Polish player. She's clearly loving Rome and just plays incredible tennis here winning the event in the previous two years. The conditions are also very similar to those in Paris so that's something to look out for.
Just an incredible showing, especially on return as she won 31 of 50 points on the serve of Tsurenko, more than 50 %. Incredibly dominant, not much else to say.
