Swiatek looking to switch off after epic 2022 season: "I want to spend eight days not doing anything"

Iga Swiatek is looking to unwind properly after a very historic 2022 season where she won 64 matches and lost only 9.

Swiatek has played a lot of tennis this year and she won most of those matches but for the next few days, she doesn't want to think about anything related to tennis. She spoke with a relieved tone after the season ended explaining that she was looking forward to it:

"I want to spend eight days not thinking about anything and not doing anything. That's the first time I'm gonna have a vacation like that because usually, I went to places where I could do sightseeing, and I still had an active vacation." she stated while reflecting on her break."

She's not abandoning tennis completely as she will make her way back to it slowly because it's key to start the new season on a very strong note. Her first event in the next season will come in Dubai in December as part of the World Tennis League:

"Slowly I'm going to kind of come back to work. And then I'm sure that we're gonna start some easy practice sessions. So, yeah, a lot of time. And I'm happy about it."
