World No.1 Iga Swiatek recently gave some insight into the importance of embracing her weakness, as most people expect her to always win.
After missing the Miami Open due to a rib injury, Swiatek has been ramping up her preparations for the European clay-court season. The Polish star opened up about some aspects of her life, particularly her weaknesses, in an interview with Twoj Styl magazine.
"I allow myself to have weaknesses. I am only human and sometimes people forget that," Swiatek said. "Is the fact that I have crises my weakness? I don't think so."
Furthermore, the reigning French Open champion revealed she gets criticized for shedding tears after a loss, but believes that should be seen as normal as screaming in joy after a victory.
"When I scream for joy, it's normal for people, and when I cry after a defeat, it always raises controversial opinions," admitted the 21-year old. "And both are just human behavior. It is part of my life and everyone's life."
