"There are some players who are doing consistently good": Sabalenka delights in facing top names consistently back-to-back on tour

Aryna Sabalenka is enjoying that many tennis players are playing really well right now making it very fun to face them every week on the Tour.

Sabalenka has already faced Ryakina a couple of times this year and they played exciting matches which both enjoyed. One was one by Sabalenka, the more important one while the second one was won by Rybakina recently. Being able to compete against the best players every week is super fun for Sabalenka:

"I like that now on tour there are some players who are doing consistently good and I really like to see that. I like these back-to-back matches."

She'll face one of those players, Krejcikova, in the next round of the Miami Open:

"I think if you give her some time, she can put the ball wherever she wants to. It's tough. So you have to put a lot of pressure on her.

She also commented on the Ukraine situation:

“I still have this belief that I did nothing bad to Ukraine; not me, not Russian athletes, not one of us did something bad. I think WTA are doing really great job to support both sides."
