"Maybe we can help each other out": Andreescu sees similaraties with Raducanu, offers to help fellow former US Open champion

Bianca Andreescu sees a lot of similarities between herself and Raducanu as they both won the US Open as teenagers but struggled after that.

Both Raducanu and Andreescu had surprise runs at the US Open however in Andreescu's case it was a bit less of a shock. Both have struggled with tennis after that with injuries the bigger problems and the Canadian has noted quite a bit of similarity between them. She's open to connecting with Raducanu and helping each other as they both have Romanian heritage which is another thing that connects the:

“Definitely I would love to speak to her, for sure. Maybe we can help each other out.”

Both were born in Canada too and actually in the same hospital which Andresscu was unaware of. She called it crazy:

“That’s weird. That is weird. No, no one’s ever said that. I was born in Mississauga, hospital in Mississauga. That’s crazy if that’s the case. That hospital was two US Open champs. That’s pretty big (laughter).”

They recently played for the second time in their career's and Andreescu won it again.
