Canadian tennis star
Bianca Andreescu saw her 2023
Wimbledon campaign kick off to a slow start, as she was forced to wait four days before completing her opening round match.
Inclement weather forced play to be suspended during the first few days at SW19, with several matches being suspended and schedules reshuffled to accommodate all the players. Andreescu's first round clash against
Anna Bondar was pushed back, with the 2019 US Open champion finally completing her match four days after Wimbledon had begun.
“It's frustrating having to wait around, especially when other players are in R3," she said. "But it is what it is. That's life right now for many of us. Those things I can't control, until I'm seeded again (smiling). It’ll be very soon."
The former World No.4 will face last year's finalist Ons Jabeur in the third round.
