Maria Sharapova was drawn earlier today to face Donna Vekic in the Australian Open but it seems her pre tournament preparation has come to an end.
Sharapova lost out to Ajla Tomljanovic in the Kooyong Classic; a yearly exhibition event which acts as a pre cursor to the Australian Open.
The Russian faced the victor recently in Abu Dhabi; Sharapova got the better of her but this time around it was the opposite.
Tomljanovic came out of the gate quick easing through the first set 6-1 on home soil but Sharapova eased through the second by the same score line.
It went all the way from there with Tomljanovic just edging it in the tiebreak 11-9.

Something he mentioned here is what many who have coached at any level can relate to -- "the crazy parents committee". It relates to my coaching experiences in kid's sports. My #1 complaint about coaching kids is Problem Parents!! It can be a very abusive, even violent situation with many parents when it comes to their kid's sports. In the end, it was no longer worth the potential (all too common) altercations for me and I quit.
