Upper Austria Ladies' Linz 2020 Friday Schedule of Play

The WTA event in Linz is coming to a close and the 4 match Friday schedule of play means we are in the quarterfinals.

The best 8 players in Linz will step onto the courts on Friday to fight for the semifinals spots, The schedule of play has 4 interesting matches with the first one starting at 14:30. It will be Sasnovich vs Krejcikova in a very interesting affair where both players enjoy a similar hard-hitting play style. After them, we will see Podoroska vs Alexandrova. Podoroska put forward a strong performance against Giorgi coming back to win the match while Alexandrova showcased a strong level in Linz. It will be a spectacular match that should make for a good spectacle.

The 3rd quarterfinal will be another spectacle as Kudermetova is set to take on Mertens. Both players have shown a very good level of tennis in Linz and both of them enjoy playing an aggressive style. Mertens should be the favourite heading into this one but Kudermetova is very tough to beat when she plays well so everything is possible. The final quarterfinal match will be between Sabalenka and Dodin. Aryna has been on a roll recently that started with her title win in Ostrava and she played well here. Dodin has been one of the best indoor performers all year and she has shown a good level here.
