Sofia Open Friday Schedule of Play

The Sofia Open is down to only 4 players who will step out today to play the semifinal matches with play starting at 14:00 CET.

The first semifinal will start at 14:00 CET and it will be Mannarino and Sinner. It will be a spectacular semifinal between two players who played very good tennis in Sofia and in the past weeks. Mannarino made the final in Nur-Sultan but lost to Millman. Sinner has been slowly breaking through this year and tomorrow he will be the heavy favourite. They never played so far but Sinner should have the edge considering the form he displayed.

The 2nd semifinal is scheduled to start at 17:00 and it will be Vasek Pospisil vs Richard Gasquet. Both players played well which is why they are in the semifinal. Gasquet hasn't had a deep run at an event for a long time so he will cherish this opportunity. Playing against Pospisil won't be easy even more so because Pospisil is considered the favourite. They played 5 times so far with both winning twice and Gasquet retiring from their sole match this year which was also played indoors. Pospisil won the opening set in that one.
