'USTA still plans to host the US Open as scheduled'

Following the earlier postponement of the Rolland Garros, and cancellation of Wimbledon, the USTA released a statement regarding the planning of the 2020 US Open.

The 2020 US Open should take place from 31st August - 13th September 2020. The last Grand Slam of the season is not the last this year anymore. The 2020 Roland Garros should take place from 20th September - 4th October 2020 what arose many questions.
The tournament in Flushing Meadows was founded back in 1881 and we have seen 139 editions up until now. Due to public health concerns, the 140th edition of the tournament is now endangered. Already 2 tournaments in the United States were cancelled and now also the first Grand Slam was cancelled as well. Now, he USTA released a statement regarding Wimbledon's Cancellation.
"We understand the unique circumstances facing the AELTC and the reasoning behind the decision to cancel the 2020 Wimbledon Championships. At this time, the USTA still plans to host the US Open as scheduled. And we continue to hone plans to stage the tournament", USTA wrote.
"The USTA is carefully monitoring the rapidly-changing environment surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and is preparing for all contingencies. We also rely on the USTA’s Medical Advisory Group as well as governmental and security officials to ensure that we have the broadest understanding of this fluid situation. In all instances, all decisions made by the USTA regarding the US Open will be made with the health and well-being of our players, fans, and all others involved in the tournament."
