Vekic up to 23rd, Kostyuk into top 40 after Monterrey and Austin titles as no change in top 10 of updated WTA rankings

Donna Vekic and Marta Kostyuk had title runs in Monterrey and Austin in the past week and both improved their ranking significantly as a result of this.

Winning those trophies should not come as a surprise to anyone because both players have played really well so far. Both had incredible weeks as well but unlike Kostyuk who was favoured, Vekic produced a major upset under the watchful eye of mentor Pam Shriver. She defeated number 5 Caroline Garcia to win the trophy.

Garcia didn't drop or improve her ranking as a result of it. There weren't any changes in the top 10 actually with Swiatek leading ahead of Sabalenka and Pegula. Vekic's win in Monterrey pushed her up to number 23 with an 8-spot jump. Kostyuk jumped 12 spots to number 40. Other big jumps include Lin Zhu who moved up to number 33, and Collins to 31.

Last year's Monterrey champion Leylah Fernandez moved backwards as the Canadian is inches away from leaving the top 50. She dropped 17 spots to number 49. Gracheva and Volynets are the other significant movers this week. Check out the rankings below.
