Victoria Azarenka had no issues in her first match at the Doha Open beating Ipek Oz of Turkey 6-1 6-1 to secure the second round of the event.
Azarenka showed a very high level in Australia and she didn't skip a beat in her return. To be completely fair, she faced an opponent that realistically is not on her level and it was quite evident early on. She was able to impose her will early hitting the ball really well in rallies and the Turkish player wasn't able to do anything with it.
Azarenka took an early break 3-1 and then added another one later on to win the opening set 6-1. The second set with a double break for the Belarussian 3-0 but Oz was able to pull one back. That was the only thing of note that she did in the second set as Azarenka once again established herself as the dominant force and cruised to a 6-1 finish.
A quick win for Azarenka who looked impressive in this match.
