VIDEO: Ashleigh Barty laughs off tennis blooper in Madrid

Ashleigh Barty is currently destroying everyone on the WTA tour but at the Madrid Open against Kvitova, she proved she is human just like the rest of us.

The Australian player is enjoying a terrific run that saw her win over multiple matches in a row and her performances on clay have been especially good. But in her quarterfinal match against Petra Kvitova on Wednesday the Australian created a tennis blooper for the ages.

After Kvitova lobed, the ball up high Barty could not see the ball due to the sun and after she let it drop onto the court she lost it once again with the ball dropping down once more winning the point for Kvitova. The Australian was not too upset about the moment as he immediately laughed it off.

It was something you don't see often on the court but with the Sun shining it was hard for Barty to see. She was leading 5-0 at the time so there was no reason to complain about it as she was cruising in the match.

After the match she Barty took to Twitter to respond to the moment which she did in a joking manner. She will play Paula Badosa for a place in the final today and you can follow that on our live scores page. Before you do that makes sure to see the video below:
