Caroline Wozniacki is the main story of Day Two at the 2023 Canadian Open also known as Omnique Banque Nationale in Montreal.
Wozniacki left tennis behind in 2020 and started a family with her husband and former NBA star, David Lee. But the former Australian Open champion had the hunger to return and believed she had unfinished business.
The 33-year-old plays Kimberly Birrell before a potential second-round meeting with Marketa Vondrousova, the current Wimbledon champion.
Walking onto court, just like her farewell she heard the tones of Sweet Caroline ring out and one fan said to her 'Caroline, you look just like you never left' and the Dane smiled back at him.
