Jessica Pegula brought a special guest with her during the
US Open "Stars of the Open" exhibition match, a service dog named Ace who delighted the crowd.
"Stars of the Open" is an exclusive exhibition match, featuring some of the biggest names in tennis. The proceeds from this event went towards supporting Ukrainian Relief Efforts through GlobalGiving’s Ukraine Crisis Relief Fund.
Pegula delighted to be involved in Ace's rehabilitation
During the exhibition match, Pegula entered the Louis Armstrong Stadium accompanied by a service dog named Ace. The clip soon made the rounds on social media, with Pegula sharing the video and expressing her joy at being involved in Ace's training.
"12/10 a very good girl. Happy to be a part of Ace’s training and journey before she finds a veteran to call home 💕," Pegula tweeted.
The World No.3 has a love for dogs, owning two dogs herself and a third one named Dexter, who recently passed away. In fact, Pegula dedicated dedicated her 2023 Canadian Open title to Dexter.
