Anna Kalinskaya was in superb form as she dumped out Elena Rybakina at the 2023 Madrid Open 7-5, 4-6, 6-2 to reach the third round.
Kalinskaya's post match interview though was a different story with the Russian cracking a joke only to receive a tumbleweed response with no-one laughing.
Well Kalinskaya will look to have the last laugh this week and has started well by defeating the in-form Kazakh and when asked about facing Petra Martic or Laura Siegemund, she responded.
"I'm not bad on clay either," she joked. "I didn't check the draw now that you told me, at least I have an idea. They're both very difficult players and I hope it's going to be a good match and I can show the same level or even better."
