Leaving it all on the court 🇵🇱 Blessed to have so much heart and soul at #UnitedCup 🙏
Iga Swiatek's passion on court was left for all to see after Poland's narrow United Cup loss to Germany in Sydney on Sunday afternoon with the World No.1 left in tears.
Swiatek was crowned as MVP of the 2024 United Cup after her performances over the course of the week which saw her, Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina and Coco Gauff all in different tournaments all in emphatic form to prove there was certainly no rust in the opening week.

In mixed doubles as well she thrived alongside Hubert Hurkacz, but when your luck is in, it's in and Germany who saved multiple match points against Australia as well as having Alexander Zverev dodge and produce a great escape to deny Hubert Hurkacz rode it all the way to victory.
Swiatek herself had previously done her part by taking down Angelique Kerber in her singles tie emphatically. But it proved not to be enough and Swiatek who is a known perfectionist and winner let her emotional side take over as she sat courtside after the match. She will now head to the Australian Open as the top seed aiming to gain that title and add it to her collection, but in terms of the United Cup, it was Germany's day.
