Leylah Fernandez has joined Daria Kasatkina in the stakes of YouTube vlogs with the former US Open finalist starting a YouTube channel with a flashy Behind the Scenes video of her time in Indian Wells.
Fernandez shared it on her Instagram and said: "I want to share some short videos from trips throughout the year. Here's a teaser but would love to hear any thoughts or feedback on what you want to see" with a link to her YouTube channel. This takes you through her time at the Australian Open, Indian Wells and Miami.
Albeit, it is not in the same format as Daria Kasatkina who has received a lot of praise for her vlogs which she hosts with her girlfriend and sees her interview top names in the sport with a more humorous behind the scenes element with interviews and players outside of their natural habitat. But Fernandez given her popularity could see this as a shrewd move to show more of her life outside of tennis and what she deals with off the court.
This is especially the case in the advent of the Netflix Break Point cancellation which has seen the look Behind the Scenes element canned for now when it comes to top tennis stars and so Fernandez is one of a few who does show her life away from that series. Her latest video is below and it will be interesting to see how it develops over time.
