Naomi Osaka
shared a video of herself training while still pregnant with her daughter.
The
Japanese tennis player has been absent from WTA tournaments throughout 2023 due
to her pregnancy and the subsequent birth of her daughter. However, she has
already announced her intention to return to competitive level in 2024.
At 25 years
old, Osaka aims to reclaim top rankings and secure victories in significant
tournaments, similar to her early years as a professional player. She reached
world No. 1 and won 4 Grand Slam titles, a feat shared only by Iga Swiatek, and
surpassed by Venus Williams (with 7 titles) among active female players.
Osaka's
determination to regain her place among the world's best had her training even
before giving birth to her daughter, as she shared in a video on TikTok.
"Vids
in my camera roll from when I was preggos lol," Osaka wrote in a video
that shows various clips of her training on different tennis courts.

Naomi Osaka
lost nearly all of her WTA ranking points and currently sits at world No. 601.
Furthermore, she will drop out of the rankings in September when she loses the
points she earned for reaching the quarterfinals of the Tokyo Open.
Throughout
her 2022 season, Osaka struggled to find her form, and her last victory was
against Zheng Qinwen in the first round of the Stanford Open in early August.
Since
winning the 2021 Australian Open, Osaka has not achieved the level of success
that was expected of her. In the 2022 Miami Open, she managed to progress
through several rounds and reached the final, only to be defeated by Iga
Swiatek. This marks the last time she secured more than one consecutive
victory.
Osaka has
won seven titles in her career, including the Osaka Open, Indian Wells,
Beijing, US Open (2018, 2020), and Australian Open (2019, 2021).
