VIDEO: Serena Williams wins her first Grand Slam title at US Open in 1999

Serena Williams has become one of the most successful players on the WTA circuit in 24 years of her career and she will try to win her 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open 2019.
And it all started right here in Flushing Meadows 20 years ago when 17-year-old Serena Williams won her first Grand Slam title. Then she added another 22 of which 5 were just at the US Open. This year she will try to level the Margaret Court record again, after 2 unsuccessful finals, last year at the US Open and this year at Wimbledon.
In the 1st round, she will be playing against Maria Sharapova and it will be a really difficult start for her.
