VIDEO: Simona Halep shows her football skills in Miami

Simona Halep is going to play at the Miami Open but before she showed off her tennis skills she decided to show off her footballing skills.

Simona Halep has not played tennis since the Australian Open but she elected to participate in the Miami Open where she will try to win the title. She never won the title there but she enjoyed some deep runs before. Ahead of the event, she teamed up with Inter Miami CF to show off her footballing skills.

In the video posted by Hard Rock Stadium (the venue of the Miami Open since 2019) Simona can be seen balancing a football in the manner of the world's best football players. She can be seen hitting the ball 81 times before dropping it which is impressive and anyone that ever played football will know just how much.

The video has been retweeted by Simona herself where she admitted that it was her new record while tagging the Inter Miami CF page as well. Could there be a football career in store for Halep as well?

Tough to say, but with her tennis career blossoming the way it is recently it's hard to see her changing sports. Nevertheless, the video is impressive and it shows Simona in good spirits ahead of a very important event for her. Check it out for yourself.
