With the Laver Cup taking place and of course featuring ATP players in the Team Europe v Team World format, Relevant Tennis floated the idea of a WTA version featuring the top players from both sides of the rankings.
But who would be in both teams based off the WTA Ranking post US Open. Leading the respective teams would be Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff for Europe and World respectively.
Iga Swiatek as World Number Two would follow on alongside recent Guadalajara winner, Maria Sakkari as well as Wimbledon champion, Marketa Vondrousova. Her compatriot Karolina Muchova and Caroline Garcia would finalize Team Europe.
Those who would just miss out based on rankings include Barbora Krejcikova, Petra Kvitova, and Belinda Bencic. While World as alluded to would see Gauff leading alongside her Doubles Partner and World Number Four, Jessica Pegula.
Elena Rybakina would follow on with Ons Jabeur, Madison Keys and Beatriz Haddad Maia finalising the potential line-up. Daria Kasatkina, Veronika Kudermetova and Victoria Azarenka too could have been involved.
This led to others floating their potential line-ups with Qinwen Zheng discussed due to diversity of nationalities on the tour as well as Bianca Andreescu and even Venus Williams for Team World when both are healthy.
But who would win on the potential line-ups below? Vote in our poll and comment your line-ups below.
