Williams and Konta ease through to fourth round at 2019 US Open

Williams saw off Karolina Muchova who was a potential upset waiting to happen; considering her pedigree at the US Open. It was far from it though with Serena claiming a 6-3, 6-2 victory; converting five out of nine break points en route.

She was broken back halfway through the second set; but she still came through that 6-2 to continue her run as the player to beat so far.

Much has been made of Johanna Konta's form over the past 12 months; but she is playing well at Flushing Meadows.

This is after seeing off Zhang Shuai 6-2, 6-3 and she will now face off against Karolina Pliskova after she defeated Ons Jabeur 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 earlier in proceedings.
