Williams speaks on potentially equalling Court's record: "I think it's factored a lot into my game"

Serena Williams is one Grand Slam win away from drawing level with Margaret Court with most Grand Slam wins, a stat that has plagued her for the past few years.
Williams is off to the best possible start though easing past Anastasia Potopova. For the legendary American, the record does cross her mind; but how good she is helps her to relax about it.
“I think it's factored a lot into my game, and now it's just more or less about doing the best that Serena Williams can do,” she said of Court’s record.
“Margaret Court was a wonderful, great champion. And now how great is Serena Williams?
“That's it. That's kind of what I have been thinking about the last couple of weeks and months. It definitely helps me relax a lot.”

Something he mentioned here is what many who have coached at any level can relate to -- "the crazy parents committee". It relates to my coaching experiences in kid's sports. My #1 complaint about coaching kids is Problem Parents!! It can be a very abusive, even violent situation with many parents when it comes to their kid's sports. In the end, it was no longer worth the potential (all too common) altercations for me and I quit.
