After taking a lengthy hiatus from the WTA circuit, seven-time Grand Slam champion
Venus Williams is hoping to make a comeback sometime this season.
The American suffered an injury in Auckland earlier this year, and has since been sidelined. However, Williams recently updated fans on her recovery during an Q&A session on Instagram.
Asked by a fan when she would be returning, Williams was unable to give a specific date but stated she was doing everything possible to get back on court.
"Hopefully soon my friend. Working my hardest to get back," said the former World No.1.
Another fan asked if Williams would be incorporating trick shots into her game, a la Nick Kyrgios and Alexander Bublik.
"No I never spent time learning those trick shots," replied the 42-year old. "It's too late now. I don't have the patience now."
