Venus Williams is the star name in tonight's Schedule of Play, she takes on Kaja Juvan though who is in good form at the moment.

She came through qualifying for both the Australian Open and this event and with the former suffering with a hip injury and not having much game time, it could be a lot closer than many think.

An all-American affair also takes place between Christina McHale and Lauren Davis. The former has a 4-1 Head to Head record to take into this contest. It could be one that flips the script in terms of that but with both not playing much since Australia, it could be close.

Sara Errani will face Sara Sorribes Tormo. The latter being in better form due to her brilliant win over Naomi Osaka in the Fed Cup and despite the former's name value, she has struggled since returning from a doping suspension and could be in for a tough time against the Spaniard.

Sloane Stephens will start her campaign against Renata Zarazua who is ranked outside of the top 200 but could fancy her chances with the American out of form as of late but despite her ranking, it could also be a confidence booster for the former Grand Slam champion.

Katie Boulter also makes her return to full tour action after playing valiantly against Elina Svitolina at the Australian Open. The Briton since reached the semi-final of an ITF event and decided against playing in the Fed Cup due to just returning from injury. A good week could do her wonders and she starts off against Jasmine Paolini who she should ease past.
