The star names in tonight's Schedule of Play include Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev and Nick Kyrgios with all the big players coming out to play on Night 2.
Nadal will take on Pablo Andujar on his return to action after defeat in the semifinal of the Australian Open to Dominic Thiem.
He will face his compatriot who has battled well with injuries and is back within the top 100; but all roads point towards the former who has a 3-0 record against him and has only taken one set in all three outings.
Zverev will take on Jason Jung which could be a tricky test for the German ace who will also have his brother playing in the draw Mischa against John Isner.
The German ace reached the semi-finals in Melbourne and hasn't played since which could find an opening for the Taiwanese player who reached the semi-finals at the New York Open. He flew through qualifying for this despite pulling out of his first round tie at Delray Beach; he could push Zverev close.
Kyrgios will begin his quest to defend his title where he produced one of his best wins in his career against rival Rafael Nadal last year; he has Ugo Humbert to contend with. With his victory last year he will want to put a show on for the fans; he will hopefully have the desire to do so on his return to competitive tennis.
Radu Albot on Cancha 1 court could be the vulnerable favourite if you look into the form line. The Moldovan has struggled with a back injury as of late and faces a Pedro Martinez who will likely be full of confidence after an excellent few weeks including qualifying for the tournament that Albot had to duck out of in the Australian Open.
Albot has found wins hard to come by since then and even lost to Jack Sock last week who had not won a singles game in 15 months.
Other top ties include Steve Johnson against Dusan Lajovic; as well as Damir Dzumhur against Grigor Dimitrov.
As well as Delray Beach winner Reilly Opelka who will take on Kwon Soon-woo who fell en route for the in-form American. Felix Auger-Aliassime reached back to back finals in Rotterdam and Marseille and he has a good start against Alex Bolt as he searches for a third. Is the young Canadian starting to find his form?
There is also Taylor Fritz against John Millman which will be an intriguing one due to the former's form. He lost in the Quarter-Finals of a Challenger event, as well as the first round at Delray Beach and Millman will relish the chance of a potential win against the American.
