Former American tennis player Coco Vandeweghe has been prominently covering the tennis over in Australia in January, doing punditry work for the Australian Open among other events. However, before all of this occurred, she had been engaged to her now fiancé Daniel, now unveiling the news on social media.
The two-time Grand Slam semi-finalist posted the great news on her Instagram page, revealing that she said yes on 27th December 2025. Also in the caption, it wrote: "Sponsored by Raya." This could be a hint at how the couple met, through the dating app.
The pair both looked very happy in the photo which was taken in West Palm Beach, Florida, as they celebrated getting engaged by having what looked like a lavish party. The 34-year-old posted a bunch of pictures centred around the joyous occasion with other family and friend sharing the excitement and joy. It looked like they were both very happy around each other's company, relishing the chance to be a part of each other's lives for the rest of their life. Around 100 comments have come in congratulating the duo with some thoroughly supporting and lovely messages complimenting the former tennis player.
Having retired from tennis in 2023, Vandeweghe has predominantly put her focus on pundit work, analysing the sport she once excelled at. She reached a brace of Grand Slam semi-finals in her pomp year of 2017 while clinching glory in the 2018 US Open women's doubles tournament, teaming up with three-time Grand Slam champion Ashleigh Barty with great success.
She reached the final of the WTA Elite Trophy final while also winning being a part of the American team which tasted glory in the Fed Cup back in 2017. Her career would derail with bad form and injury both delivering decisive blows to what had been a promising tennis career. She called it a day in 2023 and has since been on the screens stating her opinions on matches and events in the tennis world for prominent platforms such as TNT Sports and the Tennis Channel. She also hosts the Big T Podcast for the Tennis Channel, recently launched this year with Brad Gilbert, Andrea Petkovic, and Mark Petchey also contributing.
