The draw has been confirmed ahead of the San Diego Open, which will take place between 11 September - 16 September and is a WTA 500 tournament which will start the run after the US Open.
Famous for its surfboard for the winner, it being moved from its initial slot has meant that Iga Swiatek will not return to defend her title. Instead multiple players with a point to prove will head to California.
Those being Ons Jabeur, who many said hasn't looked the same since her Wimbledon heartbreak. She lost to Qinwen Zheng at Flushing Meadows in the Last 16.
But two players who will see their rankings drop and have had to deal with aiming to get their form back are Maria Sakkari who was left in tears and soul searching after her first round exit. While Caroline Garcia has been home in between with her grandmother passing away. She lost early to Wang Yafan.
Barbora Krejcikova, Ekaterina Alexandrova, Beatriz Haddad Maia, Belinda Bencic, Veronika Kudermetova are among those playing in this stacked line-up.
Alongside unseeded names such as Leylah Fernandez who takes on Haddad Maia, Jelena Ostapenko, Danielle Collins, Sofia Kenin, Alycia Parks, Anastasia Potapova, Karolina Pliskova and Sloane Stephens.
