Andy Murray's mother, Judy Murray has reacted scathingly to footage of Aryna Sabalenka smashing her racket and throwing it into the trash can after losing the US Open final to Coco Gauff.
Murray believes that the footage should never have been made public being a private moment after a huge disappointment of leading by a set and then losing the top American talent.
She crumbled under the pressure and lost 6-2, 3-6, 2-6 and the emotional toll was evident both post match and during this moment. Receiving mixed reaction from fans and experts, Sabalenka was both heralded and also received some criticism for the moment.
Murray sided on criticising it being released in the first place. She wrote urging privacy for players in tough situations.
"This footage should never have been made public. A private moment in an empty training room after the disappointment of losing a Grand Slam final," Judy wrote.
