The 3rd day of the
WTA Finals will bring us two interesting singles matches between players that already played one match before.
The players have been in Guadalajara for a while now and are used to the conditions. There are no more surprises and each of these matches should be an exciting affair. The first match as every day will start at 21:00 CET and it will be Pliskova against Kontaveit. Both of these players won their first matches and with a win here they will secure a place in the semifinals.
Both have played well in their first matches but Kontaveit has been on a tear that is truly impressive. She has won 11 matches in a row and 24 of the last 26 she played. Whether Pliskova can end that streak remains to be seen but either way it should be a spectacular affair between two very good players.
The 2nd match will be played in the early morning hours if you live in Europe or to be precise 02:30 CET and it will be Krejcikova and Muguruza. It's a polarizing affair for a number of reasons especially after the fiasco at the US Open between the players. Muguruza was furious after that match and she will have a chance to exact revenge tomorrow.
Neither won the first match they played and who loses here is eliminated from the event so the stakes are high. Don't miss any of the matches and don't forget we have reporters ready as soon as they finish.
