The best players from the WTA Tour gathered in France to compete at the third Grand Slam of the 2020 season - Roland Garros and we know the draw.
From 27th September - 11th October 2020, we'll see the Roland Garros in France. The tournament is usually played in May and June, but this year, the situation is different. It is also different in terms of the entry list, as the world no. 1, Ashleigh Barty is missing. However, the draw is interesting as always as there will be only 1 champion from 128 players entering the main draw.
Simona Halep will be the first-seeded player in Paris this year. The Romanian will take on Sara Sorribes Tormo in the first round as she'll attempt to win her 2nd title at the Roland Garros. The second-seeded Karolina Pliskova will also face an interesting draw as she will meet a qualifier in the first round, but can play 2017 Roland Garros champion, Jelena Ostapenko in the second round.
2020 Australian Open champion, Sofia Kenin will be no. 4 at the 2020 Roland Garros as she will try to improve her clay-court statistics. The American will meet Liudmila Samsonova in the first round. Another American, Serena Williams will be trying to win her 24th Grand Slam title in France this year. Serena will meet Kristie Ahn in the first round.
