Emma Raducanu is currently without a coach and the British player is still actively looking for one after her
Indian Wells defeat.
Raducanu returned to the court at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and she played a rather weak match against Sasnovich losing in straight sets. The defeat did not shock many people considering what has transpired in the past month in the teenager's life so after the match she confirmed that it's back to the drawing board.
Raducanu also confirmed that she is still actively looking for a coach and that no decision is near. That comes one day after reports in her native England suggested that Raducanu is seriously looking at Carlos Rodriguez as a potential candidate. The report cites sources close to the tennis phenom with Rodriguez most notably working with Justine Henin.
He also coached one of Raducanu's tennis idols in Li Na. The report suggests that the family of Raducanu is pushing for Rodriguez as the candidate. She herself did not get into any names but did say on the matter:
"If any experienced coaches are looking, you know where to find me. I've told you guys, I'm looking for someone more experienced. I don't know what's going on. I don't know what's going to happen next. But I'm sure that my team and everyone will be able to try and find a solution."
