The 2021 Lyon Open features a strong field of play and a good overall financial commitment with €501,345 to be won.
The 2021 Lyon Open is an ATP 250 event held in Lyon on clay as a preparation event for the upcoming Roland Garros. The event will run from May 15th till May 22nd and will feature a strong field headlined by Dominic Thiem and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Both of them received wild card entries into the event and some of that might have to do with the overall financial commitment of €501,345. Besides Thiem and Tsitispas there will be other great players as well such as Schwartzman, Goffin, Monfils, Sinner, Auger-Aliassime and Karatsev.
The winner of the event will get 250 ATP points and €41,145 while the losing player in the final will get 150 ATP points and €29,500. The semifinalists will bag 90 points apiece and €21,000.
