The 2022
Roland Garros is finishing up with the ATP semi-finals on the schedule and it's going to be
Rafael Nadal against
Alexander Zverev and
Casper Ruud against
Marin Cilic.
There are rumblings about Rafael Nadal possibly retiring this year or even after this event but the Spaniard is only focused on winning two more matches. The Spaniard wants to win his 22nd grand slam overall but he will need to go through Alexander Zverev to do so. The Spaniard has played a very strong even so far with his win over Djokovic particularly impressive.
Zverev has been spectacular as well and he will like to play Nadal during the day when his serve can be more effective. Overall this should be a very interesting and entertaining affair. Nadal has dominated against Zverev in the past but the German defeated Nadal a couple of times with one of them being on clay as well. The match starts at 15:45.
The 2nd semi-final of the
French Open will be between Marin Cilic and Casper Ruud. The Norwegian has played a very steady level of tennis so far at the event and he is showing once more why he is a clay expert. Solid movement, a solid all-around game is more than enough to propel him here with his consistency. On the other side, we have Marin Cilic.
A major champion before, the Croatian discovered a high level here by playing super aggresive tennis. The serve is working, he is playing bold and brave and everything seems to be working. If he can pull off another win, he's in the final.
