The schedule has been confirmed for Saturday at the 2024 French Open with Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev, Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina all in action as the first week heads towards its conclusion. Our preview looks ahead to Saturday at the 2024 French Open with a stacked day at Roland Garros awaiting including matches still to be completed from the previous day.

Djokovic-Musetti and Badosa-Sabalenka among highlights

Elena Rybakina will once again be in an early slot when it comes to the schedule on Saturday with the World No.4 who openly got snubbed for press after her comments towards the media asking for better questions will continue to let her racquet do the talking. She faces 25th seed Elise Mertens in her first real test of this tournament thus far.
But following that is perhaps the best match of the day when it comes to the WTA side of the draw as Aryna Sabalenka will take on best friend, Paula Badosa once again. It has become a common occurrence in the last few months for the pairing to face off. Badosa has been there with Sabalenka for both of their own personal turmoil.
Aryna Sabalenka has faced Paula Badosa three times in the past few months including after the passing of her ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov in Miami.

The Spaniard faced Sabalenka in Miami after she had just lost ex-boyfriend Konstantin Koltsov and also in Stuttgart. What has happened since though has seen Badosa revive her career of sorts. She has been in superb form as of late and this will likely be their closest meeting yet. While they will likely hug and embrace after their win, it will be all business on the court. That is for sure.
Then it is the turn of ATP with another day seeing a men's match headline the Night Session. Novak Djokovic will play that night session against Lorenzo Musetti who previously caused him problems three years ago with the Italian two sets up before he fell apart and retired injured. They are both different since.
Musetti has been subpar this clay court session. Whilst Djokovic has been too but has been growing into this tournament. But given his run in now, it will likely be his biggest test and likely his only one until the latter stages. Ending the Day Session will be Alexander Zverev.
Amid a cloud surrounding his ongoing trial for domestic abuse which will likely dominate social media discourse, he has been going about his business and usually uses all the chatter in order to perform even better. He faces Tallon Griekspoor next up. The German has perhaps set the benchmark thus far for those to follow.

Medvedev, Keys-Navarro, Ruud, Andreescu-Paolini among other ties

The other ties to watch include Daniil Medvedev facing recent Geneva finalist, Tomas Machac. That is one of the highlights on Court Suzanne Lenglen. Otherwise is Madison Keys who will face Emma Navarro. If Navarro loses, she also decides the US team for the Olympic Games so it is a game with huge ramifications. Felix Auger-Aliassime will face off against Ben Shelton in a match still needed to be completed. Casper Ruud will face Tomas-Martin Etcheverry to conclude proceedings.
Whilst on other courts, Bianca Andreescu will finally get a big stage placing when she faces Jasmine Paolini. Qinwen Zheng takes on Elina Avanesyan. Holger Rune continus his run against Josef Kovalik. Whilst Hubert Hurkacz concludes his tie against Denis Shapovalov. Taylor Fritz and Elina Svitolina also star.
Mirra Andreeva v Peyton Stearns will also play on the only singles tie on the outer courts in one to watch that perhaps has been dismissed from the limelight of the main courts. But between two of the main shining stars of this clay court season.
