As well as Houston and Estoril, the clay court season begins at
Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech, Morocco over the next week between April 1-7, 2024 and sees
Laslo Djere as top seed.
Djere is joined in Morocco by
Sebastian Ofner as second seed as well as
Dan Evans as third seed with a slew of top names as either lower seeds or unseeded.
This includes
Matteo Berrettini who faces Alexander Shevchenko in the tie of the round. Winner faces Luca van Assche or Jaume Munar.
Lorenzo Sonego could face Corentin Moutet in the second round. While Stan Wawrinka is also part of the line-up and could face Argentinian, Mariano Navone. An ATP 250 that has not attracted the best field, it is likely due to the quick turn around between Miami and the clay court season.
As well as the fact that unlike the WTA, Monte-Carlo is played in the coming weeks so there is one extra ATP 1000 to be sorted and so the top names will likely rest for that.
