The Men's Seeds are basically confirmed after the Rome Open for the 2024 French Open at Roland Garros with only the Geneva Open and Lyon Open set to change it and for the most part, no players can really gatecrash the top 32.

Novak Djokovic leads the way as top seed. He has won three French Open titles in 2016, 2021 and 2023 and will be the favourite to reclaim the title this time around. He is currently set to be joined by Jannik Sinner who will likely take his World No.1 spot after Roland Garros as well as Carlos Alcaraz. Albeit both are currently injured and despite training remain doubts.

The main change has come in the top four with Alexander Zverev finding his way into seeding contention. He is fourth and so takes the spot of Daniil Medvedev who won't dodge the big names as easy now that he has slipped down. So the draw will now differ. Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Grigor Dimitrov are the top 10.

Those names are seen as likely contenders for Roland Garros due to the current demise of the big name players so are a group of seeds to look out for. Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul are among the leading American trio in the top 16. A top 16 that is rounded out by Ugo Humbert.

Nicolas Jarry has increased his seeding to 17th after reaching the final of Rome with Alejandro Tabilo, his compatriot also finding his way into the top 25 after his run to the semi-finals. Cameron Norrie found his way into the top 32 late on. He replaces Jiri Lehecka who had to withdraw due to a stress fracture in his back. Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina is the next player to look out for. He sits just outside of the top 32. He will be the next to benefit if any of the current injury doubts have to withdraw.

Novak Djokovic is defending champion and top seed going into Roland Garros despite a threat of Jannik Sinner.

Rafael Nadal does not benefit from any semblance of seeding. Roland Garros potentially could've given him a seeded spot given that its his last year. But the FFT decided against such a measure due to it not being fair. Nadal qualifies as a protected ranking so he will start from the first round. As a result, he is likely to face one of the 32 seeds. So it could be any one from Novak Djokovic to Cameron Norrie that could face him. An interesting facet to watch ahead of Thursday's draw.

Like alluded to, this could all change in case of withdrawals. But would only bump a few players up who are otherwise further down in the rankings and would give them a welcome boost. In some cases of a second round start and others first round. But they are the numbers to watch ahead of Thursday's draw which will be available as ever on TennisUpToDate.
