Andre
Agassi shares his thoughts on the
US Open semifinals between
Taylor Fritz and
Frances Tiafoe. The qualification of Fritz marks the first time a local male
player has reached the final at Flushing Meadows since Andy Roddick fell to
Roger Federer in the 2006 final.
It was
already known that an American would be in the final after Tiafoe defeated
Grigor Dimitrov and Fritz beat Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals. However,
it was yet to be determined which of them would reach their first Grand Slam
final. Despite Big-Foe being up two sets to one, Fritz kept his composure to
make a comeback at Arthur Ashe Stadium, securing a 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1
victory.

true and I’m going to give it everything I possibly have. I know that
for a fact.”
