Jack Draper looked to have put injury woes behind him this week at BNP Paribas Open
Indian Wells but had to retire against
Carlos Alcaraz who eased in the Quarter-Finals in California.
He led Draper 6-2, 2-0 when the Brit had to retire with an abdominal injury which affected him against Andy Murray at times too.
A match on paper that could be seen many times in the coming years, it started off with fireworks but it was Alcaraz that struck first taking an early 2-0 lead which proved vital.
But the serve was a barometer of Draper's injury woes getting worse as it hampered that and his movement and he won just one point to open the second set before retiring.
