Carlos Alcaraz opened up about some struggles that you have as a tennis player with romance being complicated because you're never in the same place.
Carlos Alcaraz is not even 20 years old but he already achieved more than some tennis players do in their whole careers. Being a special kind of talent helped him do that but also the countless hours he spent working on his craft. There are many nice things about being a tennis pro but there are also drawbacks.
He revealed some of them recently:
"It’s complicated, never staying in one place. It’s hard to find the person who can share things with you if you’re always in different parts of the world'"
He also admitted that he was seeing a psychologist lately because he wants to stay happy by playing tennis believing it crucial:
"She’s [Isabel Balaguer] helped me a lot. From my point of view, it’s crucial to go out onto the court smiling, feeling happy. That helps you mentally. For me, it’s everything"
Further providing context to that, Alcaraz confirmed he had a tough time after winning the US Open:
"I had a bad period after I won the US Open. I think what happened was, when I saw that I’d achieved what I’d dreamed of since I was a little kid, unconsciously that aspiration dimmed a bit. I thought, Where do I go now?"
