Alcaraz overcomes Ruud to reach China Open semis in Beijing

Carlos Alcaraz showed again that his only goal from now until the end of the year is to steal the number 1 from Novak Djokovic and that he is going to give everything in every tournament he plays. He defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets (6-4/6-2) at the China Open.

Alcaraz started with great intensity in the tie, very aggressive to the rest, but faltered as Ruud took a 2-0 lead. But he recovered the break and turned the score around in the first set and took it 6-4.
