Andrey Rublev is in the
Roland Garros quarterfinal after
Jannik Sinner retired due to a knee injury that looked really bad.
Terrible news struck Jannik Sinner in Paris today as the Italian suffered a knee injury in the 2nd set that forced him to take a medical timeout. He never looked right after that and Rublev was able to win the 2nd set with 6-4. He took a 2-0 lead in the 3rd and Sinner retired from the match. The injury looked really bad and he looked in serious pain.
His concerned look did not help fans feel better. It's terrible news because he won the opening set and was playing really well. With Wimbledon so close his grass season might be over as well. Time will tell how bad the injury is and hopefully, it's nothing serious.
