Andy Murray is in the 3rd round of the
Indian Wells Masters and it comes after he earned the first straight-sets win of the year beating Albot 6-4 6-3.
The match itself was a decent one for Murray as he managed to keep it in two sets and that's exactly what he needed after battling for over three hours in round one. He wasn't supposed to play Albot but after Carreno Busta dropped out, Albot was inserted in which changed the preparation quite a bit.
Murray served well in this one which helped him greatly. He had six aces and was able to keep Albot away from any break points as the Moldovan didn't have any. That's a very encouraging sign as is posting 17 winners and only 10 unforced errors. It was a balanced approach from Murray and it was due to excellent preparation.
He knew exactly what to do to win the match and he executed it perfectly. A round three for the Brit and a clash against Jack Draper. That should be a very fun one.
