The Canadian Open takes place between August 7-13, 2023 and the ATP Draw is set for the Toronto half with the WTA set for Montreal.
Carlos Alcaraz is the top seed and could face a rising star hoping to produce as much hype as the World No.1 and Wimbledon champion in American ace, Ben Shelton. He opens up against Bernabe Zapata Miralles.
Second seed is Daniil Medvedev who could face Vasek Pospisil who faces a qualifier in the first round.
Casper Ruud is third seed and could face Jiri Lehecka in the second round. It is a similar equation too for Andrey Rublev although, he will face either Mackenzie McDonald or Aslan Karatsev.
Other top ties include Gael Monfils facing Wimbledon star, Christopher Eubanks. Andy Murray faces Lorenzo Sonego with the winner likely to face Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Home hero Milos Raonic will face off against Frances Tiafoe, Alexander Zverev faces Tallon Griekspoor. Alex De Minaur and Cameron Norrie face off in the opening round too.
Also to note, there is no Novak Djokovic in Toronto with defending champion Pablo Carreno Busta also out. Simona Halep on the WTA side is also out meaning a new champion will be crowned.
