After Coco Gauff won the WTA edition of the 2024 ASB Classic, the attention turns to the ATP with the draw confirmed for the last action before the 2024 Australian Open which is set to see Ben Shelton as top seed in Auckland between January 8-13, 2024.
Both the champion and runner-up also return this year with Richard Gasquet set to face his compatriot Arthur Fils in the first round. Cameron Norrie who lost in the final returns as second seed. He faces J.J Wolf and Luca van Assche. Other ties include Christopher Eubanks facing Botic van de Zandschulp and Shelton facing the winner of Fabian Marozsan or Gael Monfils.
With the Australian Open starting in the week after, many ATP stars decide against playing the final lead-up with Tommy Paul heading up the field in Adelaide. But it could be a good chance for the ASB Classic winner to head into Melbourne full of form and confidence just like Grigor Dimitrov in winning Brisbane.
