The draw has been completed for 2023
Miami Open with the routes planned out for the top players on the ATP side after the WTA draw was completed on Sunday.
It was a draw which again was blighted by the use of the TennisOne app making it unwatchable to many given the prestige of the tournament albeit unlike the WTA draw, there wasn't any fart noises to report.
Carlos Alcaraz as top seed will receive a bye in the opening round as he looks to complete the Sunshine Double, he will then take on Facundo Bagnis or a qualifier with a potential third round against either Andy Murray or Maxime Cressy.
This impacts Tommy Paul who was at the draw ceremony and will play Marc-Andrea Huesler or Albert Ramos-Vinolas with a likely fourth round clash with the Spaniard.
Stefanos Tsitsipas could play Alcaraz in the final and starts against potentially Richard Gasquet with a potential fourth round against Karen Khachanov or Lorenzo Musetti.
Casper Ruud is third seed and faces potentially Ilya Ivashka in the second round.
Alexander Zverev could take on Ruud in the fourth round. While
Daniil Medvedev faces either Roberto Carballes Baena or Bernabe Zapata Miralles.
Andrey Rublev as sixth seed will face either Alexander Bublik or JJ Wolf. On the opposite end,
Holger Rune will face either Pedro Cachin or Marton Fucsovics in the same section as Yibing Wu and Kyle Edmund.
Taylor Fritz could face John Isner in the second round with Emilio Nava awaiting the American in the first round. Ben Shelton seeded for the first time as a player will face either Shang Juncheng or Adrian Mannarino.
Cameron Norrie who is 11th seed will play a qualifier or Gregoire Barrere in the second round.
