Rankings in any sport are extremely important for any athlete.
If any athlete claims that he or she is not interested in rankings will not be
speaking the truth.
In tennis, like other sports, becoming the world number one
remains the pinnacle for any player competing on the court.
While that is extremely hard to achieve for obvious reasons,
players often want to cement their spot in the top 10.
In men’s tennis, claiming a spot in the 10 best players
is a hard thing to achieve. Therefore, we are bringing you a list of 10 players
who never made it to the top 10 but had the highest win percentage.
First on the list features Australia’s
Nick Kyrgios. The
28-year-old’s highest rank was 13 but has a win percentage of 42.19.
Peru’s former tennis player Luis Horna is second on the list
who had a win percentage of 41.67 but never made it to the top 10.
Croatia’s Goran Prpic is third on the list with a win
percentage of 39.29. Slovakia’s Dominik Hrbaty is fourth on the list with a 38.55%
win percentage.
Spain’s Albert Portas is fifth with a win percentage of 38.46.
He is followed by Germany’s Bernd Karbacher with 37.93% win ratio.
The other four players are France’s Nicolas Escude (37.74%),
the Netherlands’ Paul Haarhuis (37.5%), Argentina’s Mariano Zabaleta (37.21%)
and Norway’s Henrik Holm (36.36%).
