ATP Race to Turin Update: Medvedev 3rd player to secure Finals spot after Djokovic and Tsitsipas

He became the 3rd player to secure a spot at the ATP Finals after Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas and they are all safe for Turin. That leaves 5 spots up for grabs and the battle is getting heated with several players securing significant points at the US Open. Currently, the 5 next players in line for Turin are Zverev at 4, Rublev at 5, Berrettini at 6, Nadal at 7 (he won't play), Ruud at 8.

Hubert Hurkacz is currently 9th and he will replace Rafael Nadal in Turin as the Spaniard called time on his season due to a persistent foot injury. Felix Auger-Aliassime reached the semifinal and advanced to number 10 getting in the mix of things. Other players that are in the mix are Jannik Sinner at 11, Aslan Karatsev at 12, Denis Shapovalov at 13 and Pablo Carreno Busta at 14.
